Kaiserslautern (ots) - On night duty from Sunday to Monday, police officers checked numerous vehicles during their patrols in the city area.
The police officers' attention was increasingly focused on the registration of vehicles with foreign license plates. During the inspections, the officials discovered six vehicle owners who had long registered their permanent residence in Kaiserslautern or another location in Rhineland-Palatinate, but whose car is still registered abroad - presumably in order to pay German vehicle tax bypass.
All six are therefore now being investigated for violating the Motor Vehicle Tax Act. | elz
