An approx. 15 m high conifer fell over last night in Alfred-Lippmann-Strasse in St. Ingbert-Rohrbach. The tree fell on a street lamp and knocked it down.
At 20:34 p.m., the Rohrbach volunteer fire department moved out to the reported site. On site, the tree and the lantern lay on the road and blocked it. The jaws with a diameter of approx. 20 cm crushed the emergency services with the chainsaw. Since the lantern was under voltage, the St. Ingbert municipal utility also came to the site. After a specialist switched off the lantern, the emergency services were able to use muscle power to lift the lantern from the road to the edge. In addition to the lantern, the tree also damaged a right of way sign.
The eight firefighters were on duty with an extinguishing aid vehicle until 22 p.m.
