Balcony fire in Wörrstadt

Alzey (ots) - On Tuesday, April 21.04.2020, 17.29 at XNUMX:XNUMX p.m., a fire in Mainz reported a building fire in Wörrstadt. When the fire department arrived, the balcony was already in full fire. The panes of the balcony door and two living room windows burst due to the heat. The residents of the multi-party house can all leave the property independently and remain unharmed. On the balcony of the affected apartment, as well as on the living room behind it, fire damage occurred at an unknown height. While the fire-damaged apartment is initially not habitable overnight due to the smoke, according to the fire service, all other tenants can go back to their apartments after the fire has been extinguished. The cause of the fire is currently unclear. The Alzey criminal police have launched an investigation into the cause of the fire. In addition to the police and emergency services, the fire brigades Wörrstadt, Wö-Rommersheim, Sulzheim and THW Wörrstadt were also deployed.
