Saarbrücken (ots) - On Friday, October 02nd, 2020, the traffic service center carried out controls between 18 p.m. and 00 a.m. in the inner-city areas of Dudweiler and Neunkirchen with an eye on alcohol and drugs.
During the course of the evening, the officers discovered three male drivers who were under the influence of narcotics and alcohol. A blood sample was taken from you. Small amounts of narcotics were still seized from two drivers. Corresponding criminal charges were initiated, a driver's license was withheld on site.
On the B41 near Neunkirchen, the emergency services ended a "prohibited vehicle race" in which two 18-year-old Bulgarians were involved. During the inspection, the officers found that a vehicle was neither registered nor insured. It also had wrong registration numbers. In addition to criminal charges, drivers can expect a fine, the withdrawal of their driver's license and possibly the confiscation of the vehicles.
The traffic police warn that further checks of this type will be carried out in the course of the year.
