Medical president advises against corona tests for everyone

Medical President Klaus Reinhardt advised against corona tests for everyone.

“We'd better test too much than not enough. Nevertheless, it is important that we proceed systematically, ”he told the“ Rheinische Post ”.

Reinhardt referred to the limited capacities: "We need the test capacities so that sufficient tests are available for suspected cases, risk groups and hospital patients and above all a quick test evaluation is possible." In addition, employees in patient care should be tested on a voluntary basis at regular and short intervals. The physician president added: "Mass tests for everyone would certainly provide interesting scientific knowledge, but as long as the capacities are limited, I think rapid and targeted tests of clearly defined population groups make more sense."
