A varied summer program at the legal protection hall in Friedrichsthal comes to an end. A look back at a "Covid-19" determined music under chestnuts.

This year's concert season at the historic legal protection hall in Friedrichsthal-Bildstock started on Sunday, August 2nd with a hearty miner's breakfast, to which the legal protection hall foundation and the Saarland Chamber of Labor as the organizer had invited. The organizers organized the catering themselves. In addition to a traditional snack, culture was also on the program - the well-known Saarland singer-songwriter Wolfgang Winkler performed, among other things, self-composed workers' songs.

At the trade union party on August 21, the numerous guests were perfectly entertained by the French jazz singer Valérie Graschaire and the guitarist Sylvain Courtney. Both are major artists on the jazz scene in the Grand-Est region and they have performed a selection of well-known French chansons. A real highlight of this festival was the appearance of Lennart Barkowski, whose repertoire ranges from English-language songs to sophisticated political songs. On this day you were well looked after by the Scheidt party service team.

On the last date of the impressive summer music series, “Groovin` High Group” made a guest appearance in the historic hall. The changeable weather ensured that the event took place inside the building. With perfect lighting and sound, this evening turned out to be the crowning glory of a more than demanding series of events. The jazz formation Groovin 'High unites top international musicians into an energetic, elegant and captivating ensemble. Saxophonist Johannes Müller is considered a shooting star on the German jazz scene. August-Wilhelm Scheer has been playing in various bands and combos for years, and is touring at home and abroad. The drummer Remi Vignolo is one of the top addresses when it comes to jazz drums. This concert was made possible by the generous support of the August Wilhelm Scheer Foundation for Science and Art.
