Alzey (ots) - On Sunday, May 10.05.2020th, 15, around 61 p.m., a 409-year-old from Cologne drove the L 27 from Bad Kreuznach in the direction of Alzey with his car + trailer. There were four domestic pigs in the trailer. Since the trailer was not suitable for transporting cattle, all four pigs jumped off the trailer while driving. A witness observed that one of the pigs collided head-on with a vehicle. The person involved in the accident subsequently moved away from the accident site. The witness informed the police and secured the free-roaming animal so that it did not run onto the road again. An oncoming vehicle slowed due to the unclear situation. A XNUMX-year-old from Wendelsheim noticed the speed reduction too late and started. A total of four people were slightly injured in the rear-end collision and were taken to surrounding hospitals by RTW. A total loss occurred on both cars. Two of the four runaway pigs were caught again. The other two had to be saved due to their injuries on site.
