Büchenbeuren (ots) - 188 young men and 92 young women started their three-year studies at the Rhineland-Palatinate Police University in October 2019. On two dates this year, a total of 580 new police commissioner candidates were appointed as junior staff for the Rhineland-Palatinate police. Together with the 2019 junior staff appointed in May 300, the 280 young colleagues were selected from over 4200 applicants. The prospective police officers can look forward to a modern and scientifically oriented bachelor's degree. In addition to theoretical study sections, it includes a mix of specialist knowledge and practical work.
The course is not only interesting for applicants from Rhineland-Palatinate. Although 220 of the new students come from Rhineland-Palatinate, the remaining 60 students come from Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia, Saarland and Baden-Württemberg. This means that over 1600 students are currently studying at the Hahn Police Campus.
