On Saturday afternoon, a 455-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a traffic accident on federal highway 27 in the Main-Taunus district in southern Hesse.

The man had lost control of his Honda for an unexplained cause and fell, the police said on Sunday. He injured himself so badly that he died at the scene of the accident despite attempts to resuscitate him.

By order of the Frankfurt Public Prosecutor's Office, an expert was appointed to the scene of the accident. Initially, there was no indication of other vehicles involved. The route had to be closed for several hours to record the accident.
